Red Wings Sign Old Fart Dallas Drake To One-Year Deal
Dallas Drake, the gritty, extremely old right wing enforcer (and former captain) of the St. Louis Blues has signed a one-year deal with the Detroit Red Wings, of all teams. I guess this puts to rest any talk that he might (or should) become a member of the Avalanche. Turns out he went the completely opposite direction after all.
Looks like we'll be seeing much more of this over the course of the coming season.

In the interest of the Avs, I wrote my examination of them today. I even linked you in, DLS. Personally, you guys have Arnason, and I'd take him over Drake. He can still skate without a walker. ;o)
I'm a huge Arnason fan, despite his numerous critics. I bet the Dead Wings make Drake and Chelios share a room.
AT THE OLD FOLKS HOME! HAHAHAHAHA
I kill me.
Has anybody checked on Jibblescribbits? I'm sure this news has him a tad on the sad side today. There went his perfect picks for the Avs FA signings...
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Why Dallas Why?......
He's dead to me now

by "this", do you mean "male pattern baldness"?
No, I think he meant Lappy picking fights and losing...
You know, Mike, the ultimate authority on hockey fights, HockeyFights.com, says Lappy either won or drew a majority of his 17 fights last year. So don't try to hate on one of my favorite players.
Or I'll send Lappy after you.
